NEW BOOTS

Me encantan las botas, y diciendo esto se me  acaba de ocurrir hacer un repaso de todas las que tengo y enseñaros mis favoritas! Prometo que lo prepararé pronto. Estas son la nueva joya de la corona, bota estilo cutout (perfectas para la primavera) en color beige y con detalles plateados. Y ya todos saben cuanto me gusta el plateado, no? No me pude resistir y las combiné por primera vez con tonos verdes para crear un look de inspiración militar. Feliz día!

I'm a boot lover, and after saying this I came up with the idea of doing recap, so I can show you my favorites ones! I promise I'll prepare it soon. These are my new ones, a cutout beige boot (perfect for spring) with silver details, and you know how much I love silver, right? When I saw them at the store I couldn't resis, and I created this military inspired outfit. Have a great day!

DARK

Por mucho que intento vestirme con más colorido y comprar prendas que no sean negras, no puedo evitarlo, me encanta ese color! Prometo que lo estoy intentando, con la llegada de la primavera y la nueva colección ya en las tiendas voy siempre buscando esa pieza bonita y colorida. La cosa es que al final siempre acabo con un montón de ropa de color negro. Qué hacer en esas situaciones? Si eres una de las mías, aquí van mis tres trucos. Primero, se crítica contigo misma; segundo, pensar dos veces antes de comprar (los impulsos son muy malos!) y tercero, focus en lo que necesitas. Y bueno, aunque no compro nada negro, ya tengo muchas piezas de este color en mi armario, así que habrá que usarlas, no? Este vestido es una de ellas, combinado con botas color camel y shopping bag a modo de bolso. Muy negro, rockero y oscuro, como a mi me gusta!

As much as I try to wear colorful clothes or buy pieces that are not black I can't help it, black is my favorite color. I promise I'm trying, with the spring coming and the new collection on stores, I'm always looking for that something special and colorful. The thing is I always end up with a lot of black pieces on my hands. What to do in those cases? Be critical with yourself, think twice before you shop and focus on what you really need. The thing is, although I don't buy black clothes anymore, I have a lot of them on my closet. This dress is one of those pieces, mixed this time with camel booties and a simple shopping bag. Very blackish, rocker and dark. That's the way I like it!

LITTLE ROCK AND ROLL QUEEN

Ya estoy de vuelta en Las Palmas, donde el tiempo es demasiado bueno! Los días que paso en Madrid suelen ser súper estresantes, con muchas cosas que hacer y muy poco tiempo, descansar no es una opción. Pero a pesar de eso es siempre genial pasar unos días allí, es una ciudad tan viva que te atrapa. Volver a casa es como un descanso para seguir estudiando y trabajando en el blog. 

Este es el primer look que sacamos en Madrid, potenciando la rockera que llevo dentro, con una falda de cuero de Zara, una camiseta con mensaje de Anine Bing y mis nuevas botas favoritas de Sam Edelman, no son perfectas? Muchas gracias Miki Poveda por las fotos!

I'm back in Las Palmas, where the weather is simply amazing. Being in Madrid is usually so freaking stressful, with a lot of things to do and very little time, resting is definitely not an option. But I have to say, no matter how stressed I am or how many things I have to do, going to Madrid is always great, I love that city like crazy! Coming back home is kind of a break to keep working, a break to sit on my desk, study and work on the blog. This is the first outfit shot in Madrid, channeling my inner rocker with a leather Zara skirt, a t-shirt with message by Anine Bing and a my new favorite booties from Sam Edelman, aren't they just perfect? Buenos días desde un precioso y soleado Madrid! Después de estar casi dos días currando como una loca, por fin saco un poco de tiempo para escribiros! El look de hoy es una de mis combinaciones favoritas con un punto masculino pero sofisticado. Boyfriend jeans + blazer + camiseta; fácil, cómodo y un toque sexy. Tengo que volver al trabajo, nos vemos mañana!

Hello from sunny Madrid! After almost two days working like crazy I finally got some time for you! Today's look is one of my favorites combinations ever, it's a little bit masculine but very sofisticated at the same time. Boyfriend jeans + blazer + tank top, easy, comfy and kinda sexy. I have to get back to work, see you tomorrow!

ALL WHITE EVERYTHING

Hoy va a ser un buen lunes, el sol brilla y me voy a Madrid! Voy a estar en mi ciudad favorita hasta el jueves por trabajo y no puedo estar más feliz! Sígueme en Instagram (@ceciliaquintan) y Twitter (@ceciliaquintan) para estar al corriente de todos mis movimientos! Estoy muy contenta con la llegada de la primavera, ya se que técnicamente no ha llegado, pero se está acercando y por fin los días son más largos, hace más calor y podemos ponernos, poco a poco, la ropa veraniega que tenemos en el armario. En el look de hoy el protagonista indiscutible es el blanco. Jeans rotos blancos, camiseta blanca y mis sandalias favoritas, de Rabaneda, me las regaló Daniel después del desfile en septiembre. El toque de color lo da la archiconocida chaqueta baby blue de Zara (ya la han visto antes, verdad?). Tened un buen lunes y buena semana!

Today is going to be a good Monday, the sun is shining and I'm off to Madrid! I'm going to be in my favorite city till thursday for work and I couldn't be more excited! RUNAWAY

A veces me hace falta escapar para reencontrarme conmigo misma y esta ciudad tiene los mejores sitios para ello. Este es uno de esos sitios, está al sur de la isla y se puede ver el océano, es maravilloso poder sentir la inmensidad de esa manera, es mágico. Las faldas tipo skater son mi debilidad, tengo un montón! Lo que me gustó de esta es la combinación de colores, ese día la llevé con un croptop gris. Por fin es Viernes, el fin de semana lo voy a dedicar a descansar y pasar tiempo con mis amigos, tened un fin de semana genial!

Sometimes I need to escape to find myself and this island has the best places to run away. This spot is one of them, you can see the ocean in front on your eyes and feel the immensity on your soul. It's just magical. Skater skirts are my passion, I have a lot. What I loved about this one are the colors, this time I wore it with grey croptop. Finally Friday, now it's time to rest, chill and have fun with friends, have a great weekend babes!

THREESOME

Ayer fue día festivo aquí en Las Palmas, así que hoy es como un lunes, que bien! Esta semana es más corta y mi fin de semana ha durado cinco días! Que locura. El lunes fui a comer con mis amigos Marta y César al mejor sushi bar de la ciudad, Amaki (os lo enseñare todo en un post) y hoy os enseño lo que me puse. Aunque lo que más me gusta a la hora de vestir son los vestidos y faldas tengo que admitir que unos jeans bien combinados son un acierto seguro. Mi manera favorita de combinarlos es con una camiseta suelta y unos stilettos, muy cool y femenino. Esta vez mi camiseta es una asimétrica con mensaje de Zara y unos stilettos tricolor con negro, blanco y babypink. Hay un trío mejor que ese? Lo dudo! El toque final: chaqueta de cuero. Un outfit muy fácil y cool, como me gusta a mi, vamos. Nos vemos mañana!

Yesterday was holiday here in Las Palmas, so today is like a Monday for us. This week is shorter (yay!) and my weekend lasted 5 days! On monday I had lunch with my friends Marta and Cesar at the best sushibar in town (Amaki, I'll tell you all about this place on another post) and this is the look I wore. Even though I love skirts and dresses (they are my favorite thing when it comes to clothing), jeans are always a hit if they're mixed in the right way. My favorite way to wear them is with a loose t-shirt and a pair of stilettos. This time I wore this asymmetrical t-shirt with a message on it and this structured three-color stilletos, with black, white and baby pink. What a threesome, huh? The final touch: a leather jacket. A very cool and easy outfit, just the way I like it! See you tomorrow!

YELLOW MELLOW

Hello! Nothing makes me happier than a saturday! The sun is shining, maybe too much, we are under a heat wave here. So let's wear bare legs and have some fun! The main character of today's look is the dress. I bought it more than a month ago and I've been dying to wear it. Finally I decided to add some black accesories. Like the result?

Hola! Nada me hace más feliz que un sábado! El sol está brillando, quizás demasiado, en Canarias estamos bajo una ola de calor. Así que lo que toca es ponerse unos shorts muy cortos y pasarlo bien! El protagonista del look de hoy es este vestido. Me lo compré hace más de un mes y llevo queriendo estrenarlo desde entonces. Al final decidí combinarlo con accesorios en negro, os gusta el resultado??

CHECKMATE

Having a special lunch is the perfect excuse to use all the new clothes I've been waiting weeks to wear. We were so lucky and found this location that matches my outfit perfectly. Black & white is becoming my favourite trend this season, I bet you already noticed it! This look is very special because the white skirt is my second design. Is so cool to wear something that is unique and very "you". Do you like it?? Have a great saturday!

Tener una comida especial es la excusa perfecta para usar todas las cosas que tenía por casa sin estrenar. Tuvimos muchísima suerte y encontramos esta localización que quedó perfecta con mi outfit! Sin duda la combinación blanco y negro se está convirtiendo en mi tendencia favorita esta temporada. Me apuesto lo que sea a que ya os habéis dado cuenta! Este look es muy especial porque la falda blanca es mi segundo diseño. Es genial llevar algo que es único y muy "tu". Os gusta? Tened un buen sábado! 

SNOW WHITE

You already know I went to Madrid in november, what you don't know is that I had the oportunity to wear and shoot two of RABANEDA's dresses. I wasn't allowed to publish them until now, that's why I have my old hairstyle in these pictures. This white coat/dress is one of my favourite pieces of the spring summer collection. It's well made, it fits amazing and I feel like a princess in it. I hope you like the pictures, working in a team with Dani is always rewarding. Happy thursday!

Ya sabéis que me fui a Madrid en noviembre, lo que no os he contado es que tuve la oportunidad de vestir y fotografiar dos vestidos de RABANEDA. No podía publicar las fotos hasta ahora, por eso tengo el californiano y el pelo más largo en estas fotos. Este abrigo/vestido es una de mis piezas favoritas de la colección primavera/verano. Está bien hecha, queda genial y me siento como una princesa vestida así. Espero que os gusten las fotos, trabajar en equipo con Dani es siempre gratificante. Feliz Martes!
