NEW BOOTS

Me encantan las botas, y diciendo esto se me  acaba de ocurrir hacer un repaso de todas las que tengo y enseñaros mis favoritas! Prometo que lo prepararé pronto. Estas son la nueva joya de la corona, bota estilo cutout (perfectas para la primavera) en color beige y con detalles plateados. Y ya todos saben cuanto me gusta el plateado, no? No me pude resistir y las combiné por primera vez con tonos verdes para crear un look de inspiración militar. Feliz día!

I'm a boot lover, and after saying this I came up with the idea of doing recap, so I can show you my favorites ones! I promise I'll prepare it soon. These are my new ones, a cutout beige boot (perfect for spring) with silver details, and you know how much I love silver, right? When I saw them at the store I couldn't resis, and I created this military inspired outfit. Have a great day!

DARK

Por mucho que intento vestirme con más colorido y comprar prendas que no sean negras, no puedo evitarlo, me encanta ese color! Prometo que lo estoy intentando, con la llegada de la primavera y la nueva colección ya en las tiendas voy siempre buscando esa pieza bonita y colorida. La cosa es que al final siempre acabo con un montón de ropa de color negro. Qué hacer en esas situaciones? Si eres una de las mías, aquí van mis tres trucos. Primero, se crítica contigo misma; segundo, pensar dos veces antes de comprar (los impulsos son muy malos!) y tercero, focus en lo que necesitas. Y bueno, aunque no compro nada negro, ya tengo muchas piezas de este color en mi armario, así que habrá que usarlas, no? Este vestido es una de ellas, combinado con botas color camel y shopping bag a modo de bolso. Muy negro, rockero y oscuro, como a mi me gusta!

As much as I try to wear colorful clothes or buy pieces that are not black I can't help it, black is my favorite color. I promise I'm trying, with the spring coming and the new collection on stores, I'm always looking for that something special and colorful. The thing is I always end up with a lot of black pieces on my hands. What to do in those cases? Be critical with yourself, think twice before you shop and focus on what you really need. The thing is, although I don't buy black clothes anymore, I have a lot of them on my closet. This dress is one of those pieces, mixed this time with camel booties and a simple shopping bag. Very blackish, rocker and dark. That's the way I like it!

THREESOME

Ayer fue día festivo aquí en Las Palmas, así que hoy es como un lunes, que bien! Esta semana es más corta y mi fin de semana ha durado cinco días! Que locura. El lunes fui a comer con mis amigos Marta y César al mejor sushi bar de la ciudad, Amaki (os lo enseñare todo en un post) y hoy os enseño lo que me puse. Aunque lo que más me gusta a la hora de vestir son los vestidos y faldas tengo que admitir que unos jeans bien combinados son un acierto seguro. Mi manera favorita de combinarlos es con una camiseta suelta y unos stilettos, muy cool y femenino. Esta vez mi camiseta es una asimétrica con mensaje de Zara y unos stilettos tricolor con negro, blanco y babypink. Hay un trío mejor que ese? Lo dudo! El toque final: chaqueta de cuero. Un outfit muy fácil y cool, como me gusta a mi, vamos. Nos vemos mañana!

Yesterday was holiday here in Las Palmas, so today is like a Monday for us. This week is shorter (yay!) and my weekend lasted 5 days! On monday I had lunch with my friends Marta and Cesar at the best sushibar in town (Amaki, I'll tell you all about this place on another post) and this is the look I wore. Even though I love skirts and dresses (they are my favorite thing when it comes to clothing), jeans are always a hit if they're mixed in the right way. My favorite way to wear them is with a loose t-shirt and a pair of stilettos. This time I wore this asymmetrical t-shirt with a message on it and this structured three-color stilletos, with black, white and baby pink. What a threesome, huh? The final touch: a leather jacket. A very cool and easy outfit, just the way I like it! See you tomorrow!

WEEKEND GETAWAY

No soy la típica chica que esta todo el día en la playa. De hecho, en verano, casi no voy. Digamos que me aburre el no hacer "nada" durante mucho tiempo. Pero en invierno la cosa cambia, y cuando hace frío me gusta escapar al sur de la isla. Es increíble lo que cambia el tiempo en tan sólo 40 minutos de coche. En el norte hacía mucho frío y en Maspalomas (el sur) el día estaba como veis en las fotos. Todo era perfecto, la luz, la playa vacía, el sol e incluso el viento que hizo. La escapada que necesitaba con mis amigos, a disfrutar del día juntos. Al final la vida son momentos así, los pequeñitos y especiales. Llevo puesto el outfit más simple y cómodo del mundo, jeans rotos y camisa lencera.

I'm not the tipical beach girl. I don't spend hours at the beach in summer, let's say I get bored if I don't do "nothing" for a long time. But in winter, when it's so cold I love to scape to the south of the island. It's incredible how the weather changes in just 40 minutes by car. The north was so cold and Maspalomas was just magical, the light, the empty beach and also the wind. The perfect getaway with friends that I really needed. At the end, life is all about those little and special moments.  I'm wearing the most simple and comfy outfit ever, ripped jeans and shirt. See you tomorrow babes!

PALE PALE PINK

The days pass by and I'm getting closer to my trip to Madrid. I want to prepare it properly, all the looks I'm going to wear and all the plans I want to do but I have to stay focus on university. The weekend will be all about preparing everything, but from monday to friday I'm busy with studies. I have to say I'm already tired of winter, I'm tired of this cold weather and of wearing black and grey. The other day I tried to fight against dark colors with a white&pink striped shirt and a denim jacket, although it was freezing! I hope you like this girly look! Happy wednesday!

Los días pasan y ya queda menos para mi viaje a Madrid. Aunque quiero prepararlo bien y pensar en todos los looks y planes que quiero hacer, tengo que estar centrada en la universidad. El fin de semana lo dedicaré a prepararlo todo bien, pero la semana "normal" toca centrarse en los estudios. Tengo que decirlo, estoy harta del invierno! Cansada ya del frio y de vestir con negro y gris. El otro día intente luchar contra los colores oscuros (aunque tengo jean negro) con esta camisa de rayas rosas y blanca y la chaqueta vaquera. Aunque me congelé! hahaha. Espero que os guste este look, feliz Miércoles!

SMILE

I'm on a new chapter of my life, a lot of changes are happening on my personal life. And I'm taking it step by step. I'm doing a lot of thinking, reading, exploring, in order to grow and learn. The other day I started to think about how we humans do things to get the world's approval. At the end I have come to the conclusion that everything has to be done to fulfill your soul, to feel great and to love yourself. Maybe that's the start point... First thing to do of my "Feel great with yourself" list: have more fun with my closet, with this blog and with you! This dress is a bargain, I got it on sales and I'm in love with it. The perfect burgundy easy but in style dress. The gold details finish the outfit. Thank you so much for being there, on the other side of the screen!  

Estoy en una etapa nueva, ahora mismo hay muchas cosas cambiando en mi vida personal. Y bueno, me lo estoy tomando pasito a pasito. Estoy pensando y leyendo mucho, para crecer y aprender. El otro día me puse a pensar sobre eso que hacemos los humanos de hacer cosas para conseguir el apoyo del mundo... Vamos, para agradar a los demás. Al final llegué a la conclusión de que todo lo que haga una persona (en este caso yo) tiene que ser para llenarse el alma, para sentirse bien con uno mismo y para quererse. Quizás ese sea el punto de partida. Y bueno, lo primero que cumplo cada mañana de mi lista "Cosas para sentirte mejor" es jugar con mi armario, con este blog y con ustedes! Este vestido es uno de esos chollos de rebajas, un vestido burgundy (color que nunca falla) "fácil", como siempre digo pero cool. Los detalles en dorado completan el look. Good (late) morning world! New week ahead and new opportunities to start over. I'm still studying but I have just one test left! Plus, I bought my tickets to madrid (from 10 to 17 of february), yay! One entire week in my favorite city, I'm so excited! We start the week with a "uniform" inspired look, with the tartan mini skirt and the shirt, with some hints of rock with the leather jacket and studded shoes. Buenos días (un poco tardíos)! Hoy empieza una nueva semana y con ella nuevas oportunidades de empezar nuevos retos. Todavía estoy estudiando pero sólo me queda un examen, además, ya tengo mis billetes a Madrid, del 10 al 17 de Febrero. Una semana entera en mi ciudad favorita, soy muy feliz! Empezamos la semana con un look inspirado en los uniformes del cole, con la minifalda de tartán y camisa, con algunos toques de rock con el perfecto de cuero y los zapatos con tachuelas. El maquillaje y el pelo tenían que ser limpios y pulidos como el look. Tened un buen lunes, gracias por leerme!

KHAKI FEVER

As I told you two days ago, this month is already being crazy! I spend the day out, doing this and that (studiying and working), going here and there (well… from my house to the library, then shooting time and then back home..) so being comfortable for me these days is the most important thing. That’s when I put out an outfit together, it has to be easy, comdfy but stay “cool” (at least a Little bit). Today I’m wearing one of my favorite vintage jackets, bought in a vintage store in Le Marais, years ago. Mixing it with jeans, a beige jumper with some gold details and all star looked like the best idea. Have a great  day. I’m off to the library, (again!).

Como ya os dije hace dos días, este mes ya está siendo una locura y acaba de empezar! Me paso los días fuera de casa estudiando y trabajando en el blog, yendo de aquí para allá (bueno… de mi casa a la biblioteca más bien), así que estar cómoda es súper importante. Hoy llevo una de mis chaquetas favoritas, la compre en una tienda vintage en Le Marais, Paris. Combinarlo con jeans, un jersey con algunos toques de dorado y All Star me pareció lo mejor. Tened un buen día, yo me voy a la biblioteca (otra vez).

IN WHITE AND BLUE

First monday of 2014 and I have a lot of things to do. In just 17 days I'll finish my tests. And in less than a month I'll be ready to enjoy Fashion Week in Madrid. Last time I visited the city was almost four months ago, and gosh, I miss it like crazy! I'm so excited to be back to that city that stole my heart once and keep doing it every time I go. It's going to be a crazy month, but I guess you know how much I like being busy! It's like the more I do, the more energy I have! Ok, let's talk fashion now.

I have to be honest, I'm not the kind of girl that wears high heels on a regular day, I'm more comfy but in fashion (always) kind of girl. For one of those crazy days nothing better than a flat studded booties. The outfit is all about black with some blue and white here and there (well, on the jacket). I wanted to give all the attention to the jacket and I think it worked!

Primer lunes de 2014, y aunque sea el día de Reyes, lo empiezo con muchísimas cosas que hacer. En sólo 17 días acabo mis exámenes. Y en menos de un mes estaré en Madrid disfrutando de Fashion Week. La última vez que estuve allí fue hace cuatro meses y cómo lo echo de menos! Tengo muchísimas ganas de volver a esa ciudad que me robó el corazón una vez y que lo sigue haciendo cada vez que voy! Va a ser un mes súper loco, pero supongo que ya sabéis que me encanta estar ocupada! Cuanto más hago más energía tengo!

Hablemos del look. Tengo que ser honesta, no soy la típica chica que va en tacones en el día a día. Soy más de las que va en planos y cómoda pero con algunos detalles que hacen que el look funcione. Para uno de esos días locos en los que no pisas tu casa en todo el día nada mejor que unas botas planas, y si tienen tachuelas, mejor! El outfit está protagonizado por el negro con algunos toques de blanco y azul en la chaqueta, quería darle el protagonismo y creo que funcionó. Tened unos felices reyes!!

HELLO 2014!

First post of the year! It seems like the beginning of each year is the start of something new, different and better! The first outfit of the year is dedicated to my mum, because she's the one that made it possible. Literally, she sewed every part of this dress. We designed it together, chose the fabric and she did the magic. I'm so happy with the result and proud of the team we are! Hope you had a great NYE and a better beginning of this new year.

Primer post del año! Parece que cada año que empieza es el principio de algo nuevo, diferente y por supuesto, mejor que el anterior! El primer outfit del año se lo dedico a mi madre, porque ella es la que lo hizo posible. Vamos, que ha sido ella la que ha cosido el vestido enterito! Lo diseñamos juntas, elegimos la tela y ella hizo la magia. Estoy contentísima con el resultado y súper orgullosa del equipo que formamos! Qué os parece a vosotros?? Espero que hayáis tenido un gran fin de año y mejor comienzo del 2014!

LIGHTS OUT

These days are full of events, that's a fact. And it's the perfect moment to use all those special garments we have in the closet waiting to be used. You know about this dress, my mum and I designed it, she made it and it fits perfectly. I wore it some days ago for a lunch with my friends. I'm off to the books, I have all the exams in just 20 days and I have to do a lot. And tonight, another event, the Pop House (my agency) christmas dinner, I'm so excited about it! Estos días están llenos de eventos, es así. Y es el momento perfecto para usar todas esas prendas que están esperando en el armario. Ya os he enseñado este vestido antes, lo diseñamos  mi madre y yo, ella lo hizo y queda perfecto. Me lo puse hace unos días para un almuerzo con amigas.

IN BLACK AND WHITE

Good morning! We are starting a week full of magic. Christmas eve is so close and I’m super excited! Now is time to prepare everything for tomorrow: last minute gifts, prepare the outfit and all its details (make up, hair, manicure, jewellery…) and the most important thing, the dinner! 

Today’s outfit is a basic black and white one with some details that make the look pow: the croptop+shirt and the hat (the treasure from the “New Icons” collection, I’m so in loooove with it).

Buenos días! Empezamos una semana llena de magia. La noche de navidad esta cerquísima y estoy súper emocionada! Ahora me toca preparar todo para mañana: los regalos de última hora, preparar el outfit y todos los detalles (maquillaje, pelo, manicura, joyas...) y lo más importante: la cena!

El outfit de hoy es un básico en blanco y negro con algunos detalles que hacen que el look sea especial: croptop+camisa y el sombrero (la pieza estrella de la colección "New Icons" de H&M, estoy encantada con el!). 

Hoy va a ser un GRAN día! Un beso enorme para todos!

THE SUN

Chritmas in bare legs and no jacket? It is possible here in Gran Canaria. It's incredible but the sun is shining so bright! Chritsmas are usually represented with snow and cold. For me they used to be like that. When I was a child I used to travel with my family every year to a different place; Switzerland, France, Andorra are just few of them... But now we all have grow up and Christmas is all about staying in my island and spend time with my favorite ones who live around the globe and are back for the holidays. 

So, what can I do (fashion speaking)? Adapt winter trends to this wonderful weather. Lace and leather is today's combination. Hard and soft like always! Have a great day!

Navidades sin medias ni chaqueta? Es posible en Gran Canaria. Es increíble pero hace muchísimo sol, y aquí lo disfrutamos a tope! Las navidades normalmente significan frío y nieve. Para mi solían ser así también, cuando era pequeña viajaba cada navidad con mi familia a un sitio diferente; Andorra, Suiza, Francia... Ahora hemos crecido y vivimos cada uno en un sitio del mundo así que lo que toca es pasar las navidades en casa y disfrutar de mis personas favoritas. 

Pero hablemos de ropa, qué me pongo con este sol? Lo que hago es adaptar las tendencias de invierno a este tiempo. Encaje y cuero es la combinación de hoy. Hard and Soft, como siempre. Pasar un buen día!

TWO - SIDED SCARF

Hello Monday! I'm starting this week very tired, I spent the weekend working and now back to business! But, let's put a good face to this new week and make the best of it! As I told, you the days are getting colder and I can finally wear some wintery clothes. This scarf is one of that pieces, I'm absolutely in love with it. It's so comfy, warm and stylish, and it can be worn as a scarf, a blanket or even a jacket. It's by far the it-piece of the season. A very rockchic outfit to start the week!

Buenos días de lunes! Esta semana la empiezo un poco cansada, me he pasado todo el fin de semana currando y hoy vueeelta al trabajo! Pero bueno, pongámosle buena cara al lunes y a tener un buen día! Como ya les dije, el frío empieza a llegar a la ciudad y por fin me puedo poner algunas cosas de invierno. Esta bufanda es una de esas piezas. Me encanta, es súper cómoda, calentita y además muy cool. Un look rockchic para empezar la semana!

TIGHTS

The tights season has officially begun, even though today the sun is shining. Last week the temperatures went down (finally!) and I decided to use my brand new tights. When it comes to tights I like them special and funny, just like the ones I'm wearing. I decided to go for a wintery color palette and mix them with black and some sort of blood red. Hope you like it!

Queda inaugurada la temporada de medias, aunque hoy este haciendo un sol tremendo! La semana pasada las temperaturas bajaron (por fin!) y estrené mis medias nuevas. Cuando se trata de medias me gustan aquellas que son especiales y divertidas, como las que llevo puestas. Ese día decidí combinarlas con un look con colores muy invernales, negro y un rojo color sangre. 

A POP OF COLOR

Good morning ! Trends are important, but it doesn't mean that you have to throw away all your closet every season and replace it with new items. But no worries! That’s the fun thing about fashion, to mix and match items in order to create different looks. This one is the perfect example, black and white and a pop of color here and there with last season's pieces. A punk, strong and very wearable outfit to start the week!

Buenos días! Las tendencias son importantes, si, pero eso no quiere decir que tengamos que tirar nuestro armario y volverlo a llenar cada temporada. Pero no os preocupéis! Eso es lo divertido de la moda, mezclar y hacer combinaciones y crear así diferentes looks. Este es el ejemplo perfecto, blanco y negro con detalles en color con piezas de otras temporadas. Un outfit fuerte, un poco punk y muy ponible para empezar la semana!

FRIDAY FRIDAY FRIDAY

Fridaaaaaaaaaaay, YES! The best day of the week for sure. Mine is all about studying maths and preparing the next trip. I'm off to Madrid next Tuesday for the Madrid Fashion Film Festival Gala and then Barcelona, I'm super excited about it. Well, let's talk about today's look. My favorite inspiration of all times is rock, so I mixed clothes from old seasons to create a very trendy look. I bought this dress 5 years ago, is a wardrobe essential and I found it when I was reorganizing my closet. Which proves that checking your wardrobe every now and then is essential and super useful. With the hair and make up I was feeling a little risky so I tried this wet hair. What do you think about the whole look? Hit or miss?

Por fin viernes! El mejor día de la semana. Hoy mi viernes va a consistir en estudiar Matemáticas (planazo) y preparar mi próximo viaje. Me voy a Madrid el martes que viene para la Gala del Madrid Fashion Film Festival y después Barcelona. Estoy súper contenta! Vamos al look de hoy. Mi inspiración favorita es el rock, así que hoy mezclo prendas de otras temporadas para crear un look de temporada. Compré este vestido hace 5 años y lo encontré organizando el armario. Lo que demuestra que es súper importante revisar y ordenar el armario de vez en cuando y así encontrar cosas que ni recordábamos y que nos pueden sacar de un apuro. Me apetecía arriesgar un poco con el maquillaje y peluquería y probé con el wet hair. Que os parece el look? Acierto o error?

BRIGHTER

I'm getting used to steal my mum's clothes, I have to say she has a lot of style and she has clothes that I like to wear from time to time. This dress is one of those pieces, I chose it for her and now I'm the one wearing it, my own way of course. Black and white is always better when it's mixed with some bright color, like the orange of the bag. How is your week going? My exams went really good! Huge kiss to you all!

Me estoy acostumbrando a robar la ropa del armario de mi madre! Tengo que decir que tiene mucho estilo y que tiene cosas que me gusta ponerme de vez en cuando. Este vestido es una de esas piezas, lo gracioso es que yo lo elegí para ella y ahora soy la que se lo pone, a mi manera, claro! NEVER FAILS

Nothing feels better than a starting a monday full of energy! Tough week ahead for me: exams and a lot of things to prepare for my three day trip next week, but I'm looking forward to do everything and to do it right! And now straight to today's look: black & white & red combination is an oldie but goodie, it never fails. How was your weekend??

No hay nada como empezar un lunes con energía, así da gusto! Me espera una semana difícil, exámenes y preparar mi viaje de tres días la semana que viene. PLAID

Another monday, another week! After a very relaxing weekend it's worktime again! Tartan is one of the trends this season and is also one of the prints I like the most. Combined with leather is even prettier. I chose accessories in black and silver, to give that rock chic vibe to the whole look. Do you like the combination?

Otro lunes, otra semana! Es hora de volver al trabajo después de un fin de semana muy tranquilo. Como sabéis, el tartán es una de las tendencias de la temporada y uno de mis estampados favoritos. Combinado con cuero es aún más bonito! Esta vez lo combiné con accesorios en negro y plateado, para darle ese aire rockero al look. Os gusta la combinación?
