WEEKEND GETAWAY

No soy la típica chica que esta todo el día en la playa. De hecho, en verano, casi no voy. Digamos que me aburre el no hacer "nada" durante mucho tiempo. Pero en invierno la cosa cambia, y cuando hace frío me gusta escapar al sur de la isla. Es increíble lo que cambia el tiempo en tan sólo 40 minutos de coche. En el norte hacía mucho frío y en Maspalomas (el sur) el día estaba como veis en las fotos. Todo era perfecto, la luz, la playa vacía, el sol e incluso el viento que hizo. La escapada que necesitaba con mis amigos, a disfrutar del día juntos. Al final la vida son momentos así, los pequeñitos y especiales. Llevo puesto el outfit más simple y cómodo del mundo, jeans rotos y camisa lencera.

I'm not the tipical beach girl. I don't spend hours at the beach in summer, let's say I get bored if I don't do "nothing" for a long time. But in winter, when it's so cold I love to scape to the south of the island. It's incredible how the weather changes in just 40 minutes by car. The north was so cold and Maspalomas was just magical, the light, the empty beach and also the wind. The perfect getaway with friends that I really needed. At the end, life is all about those little and special moments.  I'm wearing the most simple and comfy outfit ever, ripped jeans and shirt. See you tomorrow babes!

SEAGRAM'S MADRID FASHION SHOW: AURELIA GIL

Hoy os traigo nuevo desfile de MFShow, el de mi querida Aurelia Gil. Mucha alegría cubrir su desfile, ir vestida de ella y disfrutarlo desde el front row. Aurelia nos propone un invierno en colores pasteles, claros y alegres. Se aleja de un invierno oscuro con abrigos suaves y con su tejido estrella, el encaje. Encaje que pudimos ver tanto en vestidos en rojos, camel y en detalles que dan un toque muy especial a las prendas. Estoy completamente enamorada del mono de la portada y de su espalda, y de las prendas en tono baby blue y blanco. Felicidades Aurelia por la colección!

IN TARTAN WE TRUST

Buenos días! Ya estoy de vuelta en la isla, el tiempo aquí es increíble, hace un sol maravilloso, pero echo mucho de menos Madrid! Para mi primer día en la ciudad, un día de mucho mucho frío, por cierto, nada mejor que mi abrigo de pelo sintético y mi vestido de tartan. Este es el primero que diseñamos y la verdad es que estoy muy orgullosa de el, la tela, como queda... es perfecto! Ahora toca volver al trabajo, mañana más!

Hello people! I'm back to the sunny island, the weather here is just perfect, but gosh I miss Madrid already! A faux fur coat and my tartan dress were the perfect choice for a super cold day in Madrid. This dress is the first one we design and I'm super proud of it, the fabric, the fit... it's just perfect. I'm on a new chapter of my life, a lot of changes are happening on my personal life. And I'm taking it step by step. I'm doing a lot of thinking, reading, exploring, in order to grow and learn. The other day I started to think about how we humans do things to get the world's approval. At the end I have come to the conclusion that everything has to be done to fulfill your soul, to feel great and to love yourself. Maybe that's the start point... First thing to do of my "Feel great with yourself" list: have more fun with my closet, with this blog and with you! This dress is a bargain, I got it on sales and I'm in love with it. The perfect burgundy easy but in style dress. The gold details finish the outfit. Thank you so much for being there, on the other side of the screen!  

Estoy en una etapa nueva, ahora mismo hay muchas cosas cambiando en mi vida personal. Y bueno, me lo estoy tomando pasito a pasito. Estoy pensando y leyendo mucho, para crecer y aprender. El otro día me puse a pensar sobre eso que hacemos los humanos de hacer cosas para conseguir el apoyo del mundo... Vamos, para agradar a los demás. Al final llegué a la conclusión de que todo lo que haga una persona (en este caso yo) tiene que ser para llenarse el alma, para sentirse bien con uno mismo y para quererse. Quizás ese sea el punto de partida. Y bueno, lo primero que cumplo cada mañana de mi lista "Cosas para sentirte mejor" es jugar con mi armario, con este blog y con ustedes! Este vestido es uno de esos chollos de rebajas, un vestido burgundy (color que nunca falla) "fácil", como siempre digo pero cool. Los detalles en dorado completan el look. Muchas gracias por estar siempre ahí, al otro lado de la pantalla! 

IN WHITE AND BLUE

First monday of 2014 and I have a lot of things to do. In just 17 days I'll finish my tests. And in less than a month I'll be ready to enjoy Fashion Week in Madrid. Last time I visited the city was almost four months ago, and gosh, I miss it like crazy! I'm so excited to be back to that city that stole my heart once and keep doing it every time I go. It's going to be a crazy month, but I guess you know how much I like being busy! It's like the more I do, the more energy I have! Ok, let's talk fashion now.

I have to be honest, I'm not the kind of girl that wears high heels on a regular day, I'm more comfy but in fashion (always) kind of girl. For one of those crazy days nothing better than a flat studded booties. The outfit is all about black with some blue and white here and there (well, on the jacket). I wanted to give all the attention to the jacket and I think it worked!

Primer lunes de 2014, y aunque sea el día de Reyes, lo empiezo con muchísimas cosas que hacer. En sólo 17 días acabo mis exámenes. Y en menos de un mes estaré en Madrid disfrutando de Fashion Week. La última vez que estuve allí fue hace cuatro meses y cómo lo echo de menos! Tengo muchísimas ganas de volver a esa ciudad que me robó el corazón una vez y que lo sigue haciendo cada vez que voy! Va a ser un mes súper loco, pero supongo que ya sabéis que me encanta estar ocupada! Cuanto más hago más energía tengo!

Hablemos del look. Tengo que ser honesta, no soy la típica chica que va en tacones en el día a día. Soy más de las que va en planos y cómoda pero con algunos detalles que hacen que el look funcione. Para uno de esos días locos en los que no pisas tu casa en todo el día nada mejor que unas botas planas, y si tienen tachuelas, mejor! El outfit está protagonizado por el negro con algunos toques de blanco y azul en la chaqueta, quería darle el protagonismo y creo que funcionó. Tened unos felices reyes!!

HELLO 2014!

First post of the year! It seems like the beginning of each year is the start of something new, different and better! The first outfit of the year is dedicated to my mum, because she's the one that made it possible. Literally, she sewed every part of this dress. We designed it together, chose the fabric and she did the magic. I'm so happy with the result and proud of the team we are! Hope you had a great NYE and a better beginning of this new year.

Primer post del año! Parece que cada año que empieza es el principio de algo nuevo, diferente y por supuesto, mejor que el anterior! El primer outfit del año se lo dedico a mi madre, porque ella es la que lo hizo posible. Vamos, que ha sido ella la que ha cosido el vestido enterito! Lo diseñamos juntas, elegimos la tela y ella hizo la magia. Estoy contentísima con el resultado y súper orgullosa del equipo que formamos! Qué os parece a vosotros?? Espero que hayáis tenido un gran fin de año y mejor comienzo del 2014!

LIGHTS OUT

These days are full of events, that's a fact. And it's the perfect moment to use all those special garments we have in the closet waiting to be used. You know about this dress, my mum and I designed it, she made it and it fits perfectly. I wore it some days ago for a lunch with my friends. I'm off to the books, I have all the exams in just 20 days and I have to do a lot. And tonight, another event, the Pop House (my agency) christmas dinner, I'm so excited about it! Estos días están llenos de eventos, es así. Y es el momento perfecto para usar todas esas prendas que están esperando en el armario. Ya os he enseñado este vestido antes, lo diseñamos  mi madre y yo, ella lo hizo y queda perfecto. Me lo puse hace unos días para un almuerzo con amigas.

LIKE A BALLERINA

Some pieces never, ever, get old. That is exactly what happens with this skirt. I’ve been wearing it since 2009! Years later I’m still loving the fit, the length, the print… Timeless pieces are so important in our wardrobe. This time I wore it with a long sleeve croptop, very tight and very cool. Do you like the mix?? Huge kisses!

Algunas prendas nunca, nunca pasan de moda. Eso es lo que me pasa con esta falda, llevo usándola desde el año 2009! Han pasado unos cuantos años y me sigue encantando todo, el corte, el largo, el estampado… Es súper necesario tener piezas que no pasen de moda en nuestro armario. Esta vez la combine con un croptop de manga larga, muy apretado y cool. Os gusta la mezcla? Besos enormes!

SWAROVSKI

Last friday Swarovski presented its new collection inspired by the silk road and what can I say? I felt in love with some of their pieces instantly! Big stones, black and statement pieces are my favorite thing ever. The ones that are already on my Christmas wishlist are these incredible earrings and black watch. Hohoho...!

El pasado Viernes asistí a la presentación de la nueva colección de Swarovski inspirada en la ruta de la seda, en su tienda del CC Las Arenas y que puedo deciros... Me enamoré de algunas piezas al momento! Las piedras grandes, el negro y las joyas "statement" son mi predilección. Los que ya están en mi lista de Navidad son estos pendientes y reloj... Hohoho!

BRUNCH AT CLARIS HOTEL

Hace sólo una semana estaba en la maravillosa terraza del Hotel Claris disfrutando del brunch organizado por SModa para poner fin al #FBDatebySmoda. Fue una mañana genial en la que disfruté muchísimo del sol, del catering (estaba todo buenísimo!) pero sobre todo de la compañía. La terraza es absolutamente increíble, uno de esos espacios que te permiten ver la belleza de una ciudad como Barcelona. Hoy estoy en la universidad, rodeada de libros y números, ojalá pudiera viajar en el tiempo! Quiero agradecer a todo el equipo y en especial a Carmen por todo!

One week ago, at this exact time, I was at the brunch SModa organised at the incredible Claris Hotel rooftop as the last event from the #FBDatebySModa. Everything was just perfect, the sun, the food, the company... The rooftop is absolutely amazing, one of those special spaces in which you can enjoy the views and the beauty of a city like Barcelona. Today I'm at university, surrounded by books and numbers... Can I go back please? I have to thank the all team and specially Carmen for everything!

INTO THE WILD

This island is so magical, you can find everything you want, from the best beaches to great forests. That's exactly what we did last weekend, chill out in a huge garden full of different shades of green. It was a little bit cold but seeing that beautiful landscape totally worth it.

Esta isla es súper mágica, puedes encontrar todo lo que quieras, desde las mejores playas a bosques. Eso fue lo que hicimos el fin de semana pasado, relajarnos en un jardín enorme lleno de muchísimos tonos de verde. Hacía un poquito de frío pero mereció la pena disfrutar de un paisaje así. 

PLAID

Another monday, another week! After a very relaxing weekend it's worktime again! Tartan is one of the trends this season and is also one of the prints I like the most. Combined with leather is even prettier. I chose accessories in black and silver, to give that rock chic vibe to the whole look. Do you like the combination?

Otro lunes, otra semana! Es hora de volver al trabajo después de un fin de semana muy tranquilo. Como sabéis, el tartán es una de las tendencias de la temporada y uno de mis estampados favoritos. Combinado con cuero es aún más bonito! Esta vez lo combiné con accesorios en negro y plateado, para darle ese aire rockero al look. Os gusta la combinación?

Monday monday! How was the weekend? I spent mine working! This whole look represents my aesthetic: the leather jacket, the bleached jeans and my favorite sunglasses at the moment, the glitter Miu Miu beauties. Aren't they beautiful?

Feliz lunes, qué tal el fin de semana? Yo pase el mío trabajando! Este look me representa a la perfección: la chaqueta de cuero, los jeans desteñidos y mis gafas favoritas en este momento, la maravilla de purpurina de Miu Miu. No son preciosas? 

VINTAGE ANIMAL PRINT

Ifema is the place where Mercedes Benz Fashion Week takes place and is where we shot these pictures. I went with the comfiest clothes ever. The key piece of this looks is the skirt. My mum did it 20 years ago (such a cool mum right?) and now is my time to enjoy it. Animal print never gets old!

Ifema es donde se celebra Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Madrid y es donde sacamos estas fotos. Este día fui con la ropa más cómoda que tenía en la maleta. La pieza clave del look es la falda, mi madre la hizo hace 20 años (tengo la madre mas cool del mundo!) y ahora me toca disfrutarla a mi. El animal print nunca pasa de moda!

BE MY BABY

Having fun is essential in life, and that is what i wanted to project with these pictures. The background you see is a sheet, I'm wearing one of my boyfriend's shirt, very improvised and natural. What I wanted to stand out was the make up. I got to try these Max Factor products, and came up with my favorite make up ever: fresh face, soft eyes and powerful lips.

Pasarlo bien es fundamental, y eso es lo que quería proyectar en estas fotos. El fondo es una sábana y llevo puesta una de las camisas de mi chico, todo fue muy improvisado! Lo que sí sabía era que quería que el make-up fuera el único protagonista. Tuve la oportunidad de probar estos productos de Max Factor y conseguí hacerme mi make-up favorito: cara limpia y fresca, ojos en tonos marrones muy suaves y unos labios potentes.

BLUDAY

Bluroom es una agencia que ayuda a jóvenes artistas a hacer sus proyectos realidad. Una de las cosas que hacen para mostrar el trabajo con los artistas es el Bluday, en el, estos últimos explican cual ha sido el proceso en Bluroom, como les han ayudado y lo más importante, como se sienten al poder haber realizado su proyecto. El primer evento al que fui en Madrid fue uno de esos Bluday en el que Herida de Gato y Rabaneda fueron los protagonistas. Daniel explicó cual fue el proceso de creación del video y además pudimos ver el making of y lo mejor de todo, las tomas falsas! Fue genial volver a ver a casi todo el equipo. ESCAPE FROM MONDAYS

Almost two months ago I went to Almería to record the first Rabaneda Fashion Film. We spent three days recording on a hot desert of Andalucía. Three crazy and busy days but when it comes to remember this work the only thing that comes to my mind is how the team bonded and how we all did our best, it was so cool to work with professionals like them! The result is finally out (check it out at Vogue), and I'm so happy to share it with you, lovely readers. What do you think? Hope you like it!

Hace casi dos meses fui a Almería para grabar el primer Fashion film de Rabaneda. Pasamos tres días grabando bajo el sol en un desierto de Almería. Fueron tres días de locura y muchísimo trabajo, pero cuando recuerdo este trabajo lo único que se me viene a la mente es cómo el equipo fue una piña y cómo todos dimos el 200%. Por fin puedo compartir con vosotros el resultado final (podéis verlo también en Vogue), queridos lectores! Que opináis? Espero que os guste!

LACE & WOUNDS

This dress is a gift someone very special did to me on Christmas, yes, almost a year ago! I've wanting to wear it since then, but didn't had the chance. And RABANEDA's party was for sure the best occasion. I wore it with the highest heels I own, and because of that I fell to the ground and hurt my knee... ouch!

Alguien muy especial me regaló este vestido en Navidad, hace casi un año! Llevo queriendo ponérmelo desde entonces pero no encontraba la ocasión, la fiesta de Rabaneda fue la ocasión perfecta. Me lo puse con los zapatos más altos que tengo y por eso me caí al suelo y me hice una herida horrible en la rodilla... ouch!

"MARTES" BY RABANEDA

Those who follow me on Twitter and Instagram already know that I was one of the models on RABANEDA's fashion show for the second time in a row. We are great friends, but for a year now, we have become a great team as well. This is a very special collection, it's full of colors, soft fabrics, a lot of black and white and it's the first one including bags and jewerelly, from Tous. I was super nervous since I was the one opening the show, but as I always say, there's nothing as special as a fashion show.

Aquellos que me siguen por Instagram y Twitter ya saben que desfilé para RABANEDA por segunda vez. Somos muy buenos amigos, pero desde hace un año somos también un buen equipo. Esta colección es muy especial, tiene muchísimo color, telas muy suaves como seda, mucho blanco y negro y es la primera que incluye bolsos y joyas, de Tous. Yo abría el desfile, ya os podéis imaginar lo nerviosa que estaba! Pero como digo siempre, no hay nada más especial que un desfile, y todos esos nervios merecieron la pena.

ELEVATOR

The cool thing about having a modern, cool and stylish mum is that I can borrow some pieces from her wardrobe. This dress is one of them, she was the one that gave me the idea of wearing it with some rock pieces and make this cookie dress a little bit tough. I liked the result and here it is! What do you think about it??

Lo bueno de tener una madre moderna y súper estilosa es que puedo robarle algunas prendas del armario. Este vestido es una de esas piezas, de hecho ella fue la que me dio la idea de ponérmelo con algo más rockero y convertir un vestido cursi en un look más cañero. Me gustó el resultado y aquí está!
